Capital Hill News - Letter to U.S. Rep. Lynch
Below is a letter which James L. Joslin wrote to U.S. Rep. Stephen Lynch in response to a study which the SEC recently delivered to Congress on investment adviser regulation, recommending that Congress either impose user fees on advisers to fund SEC examinations or authorize one or more self-regulatory organizations — such as FINRA — to oversee advisers. In the months ahead, these recommendations will likely be the subject of a congressional hearing and, possibly, legislation to be proposed by the House Financial Services Capital Markets Subcommittee of which Rep. Lynch is a member.
